The Spyderco Police is the oldest model in their catalogue that is still being produced. Originally released in 1984, the first generation was based on the Spyderco Mariner, but adapted to the use of lawn enforcement on the request of an active-duty police officer. The Police model is extremely large for a folding knife, but due to its thin, lightweight construction it is surprisingly easy to carry; the lightweight version comes in at only 4.2oz despite having a 4.38" blade and being nearly 10" in overall length. This model also packs incredibly cutting power in the platform with a full flat ground blade.
